About
Hi, I'm Dave Luper — software engineer, entrepreneur, and the person behind every word on this blog.
I'm the founder of LuperIQ, a Rust-native CMS platform built on event sourcing. The entire system — over 250,000 lines of Rust code — persists state through an append-only write-ahead log with no traditional database. It powers business websites, AI workflows, and design tools for small businesses across multiple industries.
I'm based in Texas. I write code every day, usually in Rust, sometimes in TypeScript or Python. I have strong opinions about software architecture, memory safety, and building tools that respect their users.
What I Write About
Robotech Blog covers the technologies I am most passionate about: Rust and systems programming, AI and machine learning (both cloud and local), robotics and automation, cybersecurity, and the open-source movement. Every article is based on real experience, real research, and real technology. No hype, no speculation passed off as fact.
What I Believe
I believe technology should serve people, not the other way around. I believe in open source as a force for democratizing technology. I believe in building things that last — well-engineered software that runs reliably for years, not disposable code that is rewritten every eighteen months.
I believe the best way to learn is to build, and the best way to share knowledge is to write honestly about what you have built — including the failures and tradeoffs, not just the successes.
Connect
You can find LuperIQ at luperiq.com. The platform is built in public, and I write about the technical decisions and lessons learned along the way.
If you want to talk about Rust, AI, robotics, or anything else I write about here, the best way to reach me is through the LuperIQ platform.
